Our Blogs

Whittier is a great city filled with plenty of coffee shops and bakeries for a much-needed pick-me-up. October has officially ended, so that means it is time for more end of year flavors to make their way into our coffee cups and for snacks to make their way into our tummies. Yummy flavors like peppermint and gingerbread fill everyone with holiday spirit. Main chain coffee shops like Starbucks and Peet’s Coffee will typically bring back the usual seasonal options for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Bakeries will also bring back their pumpkin-flavored treats.

If you are going to be trying some coffee options, it is important to think about your teeth. If you hardly drink coffee, your teeth are okay, but still, remember to rinse your mouth or brush afterward. If you are a frequent coffee drinker, then you must know that coffee can stain your teeth, and drinking too much sugar is not good for your teeth and gums. Use a straw as much as you can; environmentally friendly straws can be purchased online!

Too much sugar can be damaging to your teeth and gums, so make sure to watch your sugar intake and brush your teeth afterward! You do not want to get chewy, sugary substances wedged between your teeth and gums for long periods. If possible, it would be beneficial to carry flossing picks with you, so you can floss immediately after you eat.

Talias Coffee Co.

The first on the list is a coffee shop, but they have great frappes that are actually made without coffee. With these drinks, you don’t have to worry about teeth staining! However, frappes do contain high amounts of sugar, so be aware of your sugar consumption. Some of their yummy non-coffee frappes include Red Velvet, Dark Chocolate Raspberry, and Raspberry White Chocolate frappes.
